Scripture: Luke 13:6–9 – The Parable of the Fig Tree
Jesus’ parable of the fig tree highlights both urgency and mercy. The owner wants to cut it down—three years of fruitlessness. But the gardener pleads for time: “Let me dig around it and fertilize it.” God does not give up easily. But neither does He excuse barrenness.
Fruitfulness in faith isn’t about achievements—it’s about evidence. Are the roots healthy? Is the life nourished by prayer, Scripture, and grace? Are patience, kindness, humility, and generosity growing?
Today, choose one practical way to live a fruitful faith. Write a note of encouragement. Apologize with sincerity. Begin a rhythm of Scripture reading. Offer forgiveness. Fruit grows where faith is nurtured.
