The Hard Work of Honest Repentance

Scripture: Luke 13:3 – “Unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

Repentance is not a moment—it is a movement. It requires honesty, humility, and a willingness to face what we would rather hide. Jesus calls for repentance not to shame but to free. The invitation is not to self-loathing, but to renewal.

Yet true repentance is difficult. It asks for more than acknowledgment—it demands a turning of the heart, a shift in how we live and what we prioritize. Repentance brings us face-to-face with the truth that we cannot fix ourselves. Only grace can transform us.

In this Lenten season, reflect on what needs turning in your life. What habits, attitudes, or silent sins are blocking growth? Begin where Jesus begins—with the invitation to repent, not in fear, but in hope.
