Yes, But How?

Scripture: Luke 13:1–9

Yesterday’s message brought focus to one of the most honest spiritual struggles: knowing what is right, yet failing to live it. Jesus’ words cut through our assumptions—tragedy is not punishment, but a prompt. Twice He declares, “Unless you repent, you too will all perish.” The parable of the fig tree reinforces that God expects fruit from our lives—not perfection, but growth.

The sermon reminded us that we often say, “Yes, but how?” We want to be more loving, more faithful, more disciplined—but struggle with the gap between desire and action. Yet Jesus does not ask us to be anything other than what we are created to be. Like a fig tree, we are meant to bear fruit in our season. The first step is repentance, followed by trust. God’s grace nourishes what is surrendered.

This week begins with a question that becomes an invitation: not to perform, but to be transformed.
