The Apostles’ Creed
№ 691
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Scripture*
Suzanne Williams
Luke 1:46b-55
“My soul glorifies the Lord
47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name.
50 His mercy extends to those who fear him,
from generation to generation.
51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
52 He has brought down rulers from their
thrones but has lifted up the humble.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
54 He has helped his servant Israel,
remembering to be merciful
55 to Abraham and his descendants forever,
just as he promised our ancestors.”
Leader: This is the Word of God for the people of God.
People: Thanks be to God.

Thank You – OCC DC Toy Distribution
Thank you to everyone who served during this year’s Operation Christmas Child Douglas County Toy Distribution. Preparation took place all week leading up to the distribution date on December 6th. It involved picking up toys from the warehouse, transporting them to the church, organizing them by gender and age, and thoughtfully selecting gifts for each family. Your dedication made the entire process smooth and joy-filled. Thank you also to the church members who helped with the drive-thru distribution this weekend. Your kindness and willingness to serve shared the love of Christ with our community.
How Far to Bethlehem – Last Night Tonight!
Tonight is the final evening of How Far to Bethlehem, from 7:00–9:00 PM. Volunteers will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 5:00 PM for soup and sandwiches before getting into costume and heading to their stations.
This year’s event has been truly wonderful so far—full of joy, fellowship, and meaningful encounters with our community. Let’s finish strong tonight as we share the story of Christ’s birth one more time. Thank you to everyone who has served so faithfully!
LSMC Christmas Party – Next Sunday!
Wear your festive holiday attire and join us on December 21st at 12:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall for our church Christmas Party. We’ll enjoy a delicious catered meal, holiday fun, and warm fellowship as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christmas.
