Backpack Blessings – August 24

Our annual Backpack Blessings food drive is back, and we need your help! On Saturday, August 24, we’ll collect food donations to support students at Annette Winn Elementary School. Each Friday, the school staff discreetly places food into the backpacks of children who may not have enough to eat over the weekend. Your donations make a direct impact on a child’s life.

Please bring your donations to Lithia Springs Methodist Church and place them on the altar.

Requested items include:

• Ramen noodles

• Mac and cheese cups

• Individual cereal boxes

• Cereal bars

• Granola bars

• Canned pasta (with pop tops)

• Canned spaghetti with meatballs

• Vienna sausages

• Beanie weenies

• Canned meats (like tuna or chicken)

• Canned fruit

• Pudding cups

• Applesauce cups

• Fruit snacks

• Crackers (with peanut butter, cheese, or plain)

• Chips (individual snack bags)

• Juice boxes

• Shelf-stable milk boxes

• Instant oatmeal packets

Let’s come together as a church family to bless our community’s children with food, love, and the reassurance that they’re not alone.
