Nehemiah, the Constructive Tracker

This morning in Children’s Sunday School, we learned about Nehemiah, the Constructive Tracker!

Nehemiah was a faithful servant of God who heard devastating news—his beloved city, Jerusalem, was in ruins. Its walls were broken down, leaving it vulnerable to enemies. Instead of ignoring the problem, Nehemiah prayed, fasted, and asked the king for permission to return and rebuild the city’s walls. With determination, courage, and teamwork, Nehemiah led the people to restore the walls in just fifty-two days!

Key Lessons from Nehemiah’s Story:

1. Prayer First – Nehemiah didn’t rush into action; he prayed to God and sought His guidance.

2. Faith and Action Go Hand-in-Hand – He trusted God but also worked hard to rebuild.

3. Teamwork Matters – Nehemiah rallied the people; everyone played a part in restoring Jerusalem.

4. Overcoming Opposition – Others mocked and threatened them, but Nehemiah and his team kept going.

5. God Uses Our Gifts – Just like the people used their skills to rebuild, God has given us talents to serve Him.

Memory Verse:

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:14

Application for Our Lives:

• When we see a problem, pray and ask God for wisdom before acting.

• Work hard and don’t give up, even when challenges arise.

• Use your unique talents to help others and glorify God.

• Trust that God has a plan and will complete the good work He started in us!

Nehemiah teaches us that when we pray, trust God, and work together, we can accomplish great things!
