Yesterday’s sermon focused on Matthew 9:14-17, where Jesus used the analogy of new wine in new wineskins to challenge traditional mindsets. He taught that the arrival of His kingdom meant transformation—old methods wouldn’t suffice for the new life He offers. Just as new wine requires fresh, pliable wineskins to expand without bursting, we are called to embrace change and flexibility in our spiritual lives. As we enter this new year, we’re invited to examine our hearts and lives for areas where we may be clinging to outdated ways of thinking or rigid patterns. Are you open to the fresh work God wants to do? Let’s reflect on what it means to make room for God’s ‘new wine’ in our lives and our church.
