Yesterday’s sermon reminded us of the ultimate preparation God made to bring us His perfect gift—Jesus Christ. Just as the anticipation of Christmas fills our hearts with joy and expectation, the first Christmas was preceded by centuries of prophecy and preparation. Isaiah’s words in Isaiah 9:6-7 declared the coming of a Savior, fulfilled perfectly in the humble birth of Jesus. We were encouraged to reflect on how God’s love meets us exactly where we are and transforms us. Let us begin this week thanking God for His perfect gift of love and grace.
