This Sunday, we will be singing Because He Lives, Blest Be the Tie That Binds and our closing chorus for the month Give Thanks. The Chancel Choir will be singing You Are the Bread to help prepare us to receive Holy Communion and to remember the Saints who have gone before us. As you prepare for worship, read the text to this piece.
You are the bread and you are the wine, broken and crushed for us. You are the spirit filling our hearts just as we fill this cup. So pour us out into the world, as you poured out your blood. We will be your broken bread, feeding the world your love.
As our wills are broken, your bread of life is multiplied, as we love with your love, your thirsty ones are satisfied. Lord, break us; Lord, make us; Lord, take our lives, Lord, take our lives! And pour us out into the world as you poured out your blood. We will be your broken bread, feeding the world your love, feeding the world your love.
I hope to see you Sunday as we worship together!
